Allen Crabbe finished with 19 points Saturday as California pounded Arizona 68-47 at Haas Pavilion.

Jorge Gutierrez added 10 points for the Golden Bears (18-6, 7-3 Pac-12), who responded well after seeing their 17-game home winning streak come to an end Thursday against Arizona.

Crabbe and David Kravish combined to score the first 11 points of the game as Cal took advantage of the mistake-prone Sun Devils, who had as many missed shots (four) as turnovers until Kyle Cain scored the team’s first basket more than five minutes into the game.

The Golden Bears continued the rout as their smothering defense held Arizona State to just 16 first-half points – one shy of matching its season low for a half – and forced 11 turnovers.

After taking an 18-point bulge into intermission, Cal stretched the lead to as many as 31 points.

The Golden Bears went 18-of-20 from the foul line and forced Arizona State into 20 turnovers, which led a 34-8 advantage in points off turnovers.

Cain had 18 points and nine rebounds to pace the Sun Devils, who fell to 1-6 on the road in conference play and scored less than 54 points for the fifth time in six games.
