Brock Motum had 26 points and eight rebounds to lead Washington State to a 60-53 victory over visiting Southern Cal on Thursday.

One game after scoring a career-high 34 points against Arizona State, Motum was 9-for-11 shooting as Washington State (12-10, 4-6 Pac-12) improved to 8-0 at Beasley Coliseum.

Coming off its first conference victory, Southern Cal (6-17, 1-9) went on a 14-0 run and trailed by four points with 6:42 to play before Washington State drew clear.

Southern Cal was paced by Greg Allen’s career-high 17 points, including five 3-pointers. The Trojans have lost 10 of their last 11 and haven’t won back-to-back games since Nov. 30.

Garrett Jackson added 15 points and Byron Wesley scored 12 for Southern Cal, which had only six scholarship players available.

Southern Cal was outrebounded 31-18 and reached the free throw line only three times, while Washington State was 14 for 19 from the line. Reggie Moore and Abe Lodwick scored nine points apiece for the Cougars.
