Cody Zeller scored 26 points to lead Indiana to a 103-89 blowout win over Iowa at Assembly Hall.

Indiana (17-5, 5-5 Big Ten) snapped a four-game losing skid to the Hawkeyes and won at home against its conference rival for the first time in three years. Iowa (11-11, 3-6 Big Ten) lost its third straight game and has only one win in its last six outings.

Zeller put a beating on the rims in Bloomington, throwing down numerous dunks. The freshman center exploited a small Hawkeyes frontcourt, shooting 11 for 12 from the field. The Hoosiers finished the game shooting 55 percent.

Indiana opened the game red hot from the field. It closed the half on a 17-6 run to take a 54-37 lead at the break – Indiana’s best offensive half this season.

Iowa also put in an impressive offensive showing, especially guard Matt Gatens, who scored 12 of his 20 points in the first half. The Hawkeyes shot 63 percent from the field but their conference-worst defense couldn’t stop Indiana from getting easy looks.

Christian Watford added 15 points for the Hoosiers, who also got 14 points from Verdell Jones III off the bench.

Roy Devyn Marble scored 13 points for the Hawkeyes, while reserve guard Josh Oglesby had a big night, scoring 24 points in garbage time.
