Forward Terrence Jones had a season-high 27 points and seven rebounds as No. 1 Kentucky routed Louisiana State 74-50.

It was the third 20-point effort of the season for Jones, who made 10 of 16 shots from the field, and surpassed his 26-point effort against St. John’s on Dec. 1.

The Wildcats (21-1, 7-0 SEC) stretched their winning streak to 13 games and are off to their best start since the 2004-05 season. Kentucky also got 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots from Anthony Davis, and 13 points from Darius Miller.

LSU (12-9, 2-5 SEC) dropped its third straight. The Tigers were led by Johnny O’Bryant with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Storm Warren added 11 points.

LSU’s Malcolm White was ejected with 15:24 remaining after being called for a flagrant foul. White grabbed the shoulders of Davis and knocked him to the court to prevent a breakaway.

LSU, now 3-15 all-time against No. 1-ranked teams, played Kentucky tough for much of the first half. The Tigers trailed only 25-24 before the Wildcats went on a 10-2 run to close the half.
