Robbie Hummel scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures as Purdue rallied from a 11-point first-half deficit to beat Iowa 75-68 in a Big Ten Conference game Tuesday in West Lafayette, Ind.

Purdue (14-5, 4-2 Big Ten) used a 30-9 run during an 11-minute stretch which covered the final three minutes of the first half and the first eight of the second that turned a 34-23 deficit into a 53-43 lead with 11:58 remaining.

The win moved Purdue into a tie for third place in the league as the Boilermakers completed a season sweep of Iowa (11-9, 3-4 Big Ten) for the fifth time in six years. Purdue has beaten Iowa 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Hummel collected his second straight double-double against the Hawkeyes and his third of the season, grabbing 11 rebounds as Purdue won the battle on the boards, 37-28. Hummel also topped the 1,500-point mark for his career late in the second half.

Lewis Jackson tallied 14 points, 11 coming during the second-half surge, and Ryne Smith added 12. Kelsey Barlow and Terone Johnson also were in double digits for Purdue with 11 and 10 points, respectively, and all of Johnson's were in the second half.

Purdue, the worst free-throw shooting team in the Big Ten at 61 percent, connected at a 71 percent clip, hitting 25 of 35, while Iowa, one of the best in the league at 72.8, made only 19 of 30 for 63 percent.

Zach McCabe scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Hawkeyes while Roy Devyn Marble added 18 and Matt Gatens 12.
