Anthony Brown scored a season-high 16 points and Stanford extended its winning streak to five games with a 75-56 victory over visiting Bethune-Cookman on Monday.

Bethune-Cookman (3-9) trailed by six with 11:40 remaining, but Stanford (10-1) responded with a 17-2 run to put the game out of reach.

Josh Owens scored 11 points and Chasson Randle added nine for Stanford, which has held eight of its 11 opponents below 60 points. The Cardinal limited Bethune-Cookman to 20-of-53 shooting (37.7 percent) from the field.

Bethune-Cookman remained winless on the road (0-8) despite Adrien Coleman's 14 points. Stanley Elliott had 13 points for the Wildcats, who were outrebounded for the seventh straight game 30-17.

Stanford, which suffered its only loss to Syracuse in the championship game of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Nov. 25, faces Butler at Maples Pavilion on Thursday.

Facing its first Pac-12 opponent since 2006, Bethune-Cookman was 10-of-16 from the free-throw line. The Wildcats have shot only 47 free throws during their four-game losing streak.
