Noah Hartsock led all scorers with 19 points, as BYU added to Utah’s early woes with a 61-42 thumping of the Utes on Saturday in Salt Lake City.

It’s the eighth straight loss for Utah (1-8) in new coach Larry Krystkowiak’s first season.

BYU (8-2) has won four straight and has a week off to prepare for a showdown against No. 7 Baylor next Saturday.

The Cougars dominated throughout, adding to an eight-point halftime lead early in the second and never looking back. BYU has won 10 of the last 11 meetings and now leads the series 128-125.

Charles Abouo had 11 points, and Craig Cusick came off the bench to add 10 for BYU.

Josh Watkins scored 14, and Cedric Martin added 10 to lead the Utes, who shot just 26.9 percent from the field.
