Deremy Geiger scored a career-high 27 points and Idaho handed host Oregon State its second loss of the season 74-60 on Friday.

The Vandals (5-4) used a 12-5 first-half run to build a 35-24 halftime lead. Geiger, who hit a career-best seven 3-pointers, sank four 3-pointers during the run to account for all 12 Idaho points. His 3-pointer with 5:55 left in the first half capped the run and gave the Vandals a 24-13 lead.

Geiger, a senior guard who entered the game shooting 43.1 percent from 3-point range, finished 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Oregon State (6-2) had won two in a row since its only loss of the season, a 64-62 defeat Nov. 21 against then-No. 22 Vanderbilt. The Beavers came in ranked 28th in the nation in field goal percentage at 48.6 percent, but shot only 33.3 percent against the Vandals and scored a season low in points.

Oregon State missed all 11 of its 3-point attempts in the first half and finished 3-for-23 from 3-point range. Roberto Nelson led the Beavers with 16 points.

Jared Cunningham, who led Oregon State in scoring at 19.9 coming in, finished 0-for-9 from the field and 7-for-10 from the free-throw line.
