Little-used reserve Jack Trotter keyed an early run and scored 13 points as visiting Stanford routed Seattle 72-49 on Monday.

Anthony Brown added 15 points for the Cardinal (7-1), who defeated Seattle (2-3) for the fourth time in as many meetings.

Stanford, which forced 20 or more turnovers for the third straight game, turned to Trotter for seven quick points during an 18-2 run that helped the Cardinal take control of the game midway through the first half and give them a double-digit lead they would not relinquish.

The Redhawks committed a season-high 21 turnovers and shot just 33 percent from the field.

Seattle did itself no favors from the 3-point line either, missing its first 13 3-point attempts. It didn't hit its first shot beyond the arc until Eric Wallace drained one at the 11:23 mark of the second half.

Josh Owens, Stanford’s leading scorer entering the game, picked up three fouls and was held scoreless.

Wallace led Seattle with 12 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.
