Myles Mack scored 20 points to lead hot-shooting Rutgers to a 94-56 victory over visiting Maryland-Baltimore County on Monday.

The Scarlet Knights (4-3) were shooting well over 60 percent before calling off the dogs in the final minutes. Rutgers was 10-for-17 from 3-point range and also made 16 of their first 18 free throws to overwhelm the Retrievers (0-6).

Mack and Jerome Seagears hit 3-pointers to begin an 18-6 spurt that allowed the Scarlet Knights to close the first half with a 46-24 advantage. Mack, who was 7-for-9 from the floor, scored nine points during the run, and capped it with a layup just before the buzzer.

Gilvydas Biruta and Mike Poole added 13 points apiece for Rutgers, which scored 31 points off 20 UMBC turnovers.

Chase Plummer and Ryan Cook led the Retrievers with 11 points apiece.
