Host Georgia Tech handled its second straight MEAC opponent to start the season, beating Delaware State 70-52.

Sophomore forward Kammeon Holsey scored a career-high 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting, and sophomore center Daniel Miller had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.

Tech, which led 30-23 at the break, shot 53 percent for the game. The Jackets had opened the coach Brian Gregory era by defeating Florida A&M 92-59.

Tech improved to 25-0 alltime against MEAC opponents.

Tahj Tate and Marques Oliver led the Hornets (1-1) with 14 points each.

The game was played at Gwinnett Arena in suburban Atlanta because Tech’s on-campus arena is under construction.
