Player of the Year candidate Jared Sullinger scored a game-high 19 points to lead No. 3 Ohio State to an easy 73-42 victory over visiting Wright State in its season opener on Friday night.

The Buckeyes (1-0) forced 16 turnovers in the first half while building a 34-20 advantage. Sullinger, who also finished with nine rebounds, was 9-for-10 from the foul line in the opening 20 minutes while scoring 13 points.

Ohio State put the game out of reach by scoring the first 10 points of the second half, holding the Raiders (0-1) scoreless until the 14:20 mark.

Wright State struggled at the offensive end, hitting only 13 of its 40 field-goal attempts and finishing with 25 giveaways.

William Buford added 13 points for Ohio State, while A.J. Pacher also had 13 for the Raiders.
