Colorado advanced to the semifinals of the National Invitational Tournament with an 81-74 win over Kent State on Tuesday in Boulder, Colo.

The Buffaloes (24-13) will face the winner of Wednesday’s game between Alabama and Miami (Fla.) at Madison Square Garden on March 29.

Alec Burks led four Buffaloes in double figures with 25 points. The All-Big 12 guard added 10 rebounds, helping Colorado handle the Golden Flashes on the backboards.

Justin Greene had 20 points to lead Kent State (25-12).

The Buffaloes, who were one of the last teams left out of the NCAA tournament’s field of 68, have looked strong in the NIT. They have won three games by an average margin of just over 12 points.

Marcus Relphorde finished with 17 points, and Andre Roberson added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Colorado off the bench.
