TULSA, Okla. - Mike Davis collected 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as Illinois jumped out to a big lead early and cruised past UNLV 73-62 in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Friday.

Demetri McCamey added 17 points and seven assists, and D.J. Richardson scored 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting for the ninth-seeded Fighting Illini (20-13), who shot 59.6 percent from the floor, including 7 of 13 from 3-point range.

Illinois will meet No. 1 seed Kansas on Sunday in the Round of 32.

The Illini put together runs of 15-0 and 10-1 in the first half, and shot 63 percent en route to a 46-24 lead at the break. The Rebels never managed to get set on offense, and shot 27 percent in the first half.

Illinois pushed the lead to as much as 57-32 when McCamey hit a 3-pointer less than five minutes into the second half.

Oscar Bellfield scored 14 points for eighth-seeded UNLV (24-9).
