Lenny Daniel and Rashaun McLemore combined to lead Cal State Northridge to an easy 88-66 victory over DePaul in a 76 Classic consolation game Friday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Matadors (2-3) lost their opener in the tournament to Virginia Tech on Thursday but came out and dominated the Blue Demons from the start. Cal State Northridge led 45-21 at the break and DePaul was unable to make a run in the second half. Daniel scored 31 points, shooting 11-of-16 from the field and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line. McLemore added 21 for the Matadors, who shot 59 percent (34-of-58) from the field.

DePaul was knocked off by Oklahoma State on Thursday and saw its losing skid reach three with the loss to Northridge.

Brandon Young scored 14 points, Krys Faber had 11 and Mike Stovall added 10 for the Blue Demons (1-3).

Depaul was 27-of-63 (43 percent) from the field and made just 2-of-14 three-pointers. The Blue Demons were 3-of-22 from the arc in their loss to the Cowboys on Thursday.
