David Loubeau scored 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting as No. 22 Texas A&M locked-up a first-round bye in the Big 12 tournament with a 66-54 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday.

Khris Middleton added 13 points for the Aggies (23-7, 10-6 Big 12), who clinched the No. 3 seed in the conference and will play the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between Missouri and Texas Tech in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Loubeau went 4 of 4 from the field in the first half on Saturday to help Texas A&M take a 30-26 lead at the break. The junior forward took over at the beginning of the second, scoring the Aggies’ first nine points as they opened with a 13-4 burst to push the lead to double figures.

Texas A&M would stretch it to as much as 57-40 when Nathan Walkup nailed a 3-pointer with 4:13 left and cruised to the finish.

D’walyn Roberts collected 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Raiders (13-18, 5-11).
