Nikola Vucevic had 19 points and 14 rebounds for his 16th double-double of the season, and visiting Southern Cal completed a season sweep of Stanford with a rare Saturday victory, 69-53.

USC (15-12, 7-7 Pac-10) was 2-7 in games played on Saturday, which prompted coach Kevin O’Neill to scratch anything basketball-related from the regular Friday schedule. The Trojans responded by shooting 53.2 percent from the field, including 57.1 percent from 3-point range.

Alex Stepheson scored 15 points and Donte Smith added 13 for the Trojans, who led 40-31 at halftime. Maurice Jones added 10 points, and Jio Fontan had eight points and seven assists.

Josh Owens had 13 points and seven rebounds for Stanford (13-13, 6-9), which lost its third straight. After scoring at least 20 in five consecutive games, Jeremy Green had 11 against USC. Josh Huestis had a career-high 11 points, and Dwight Powell grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Trojans took their largest lead of the game, 65-45, on Vucevic’s two free throws with 5:32 remaining. Vucevic has scored 20 or more points in 11 games.

Stanford, which lost 65-42 at USC last month, shot 33.3 percent from the field, and was 3 for 17 on 3-pointers.
