Jacob Pullen scored 27 points and Rodney McGruder added 20 as Kansas State trounced visiting Oklahoma, 77-62, on Saturday.

Curtis Kelly chipped in nine points and five rebounds for the Wildcats (18-9, 6-6 Big 12), who avoided a letdown after taking out No. 1 Kansas earlier in the week.

Left for dead last month, Kansas State has won four of five and is rebuilding a resume that could get them an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats controlled the first half, taking a 39-24 lead into the break, thanks to nine points apiece from Pullen and McGruder.

The Sooners (12-14, 4-8) crawled back into it after the break, drawing as close as 55-50 after Carl Blair knocked down a 3-pointer with 6:20 left in the game.

The turning point came 30 seconds later when a scrum underneath Oklahoma’s basket resulted in a technical foul against Blair. Pullen hit the corresponding free throws and McGruder hit a 3-pointer after the Wildcats got the ball out of bounds.

Pullen stole the ball from Blair on the next possession and drove for a layup before hitting two straight 3-pointers to put it away.
