Alec Burks scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures as Colorado snapped a four-game losing streak in pounding Iowa State 95-69 on Tuesday night in Boulder, Colo.

Colorado (15-8, 4-4 Big 12) used a 16-0 run early in the first half and a 17-0 spurt late in the opening half in sending Iowa State (14-9, 1-7) to its fifth straight loss and sixth straight at the Coors Events Center. Iowa State trailed 27-24 before Colorado's 17-0 run over a span of 3:51 sparked the Buffaloes' 12th home win in 13 games this season.

Burks, who leads the Big 12 in scoring in league play (21.7), notched his second double-double of the season as he grabbed 10 rebounds. The sophomore guard also dished out five assists as the Buffaloes shot 50 percent from the field, hitting 33 of 66 and also connected on 48 percent of their 3-point shots (11 of 23).

Cory Higgins added 16 points for Colorado, while Marcus Relphorde and Levi Knutson chipped in 15 each. Andre Roberson helped Colorado dominate the glass with a game-high 13 rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench. The Buffaloes outrebounded Iowa State 43-29.

Scott Christopherson scored a game-high 24 for the Cyclones, 14 coming in the second half, while Diante Garrett added 15, all in the first half.
