Freshman Doron Lamb came off the bench to score a game-high 19 points as 16th-ranked Kentucky defeated visiting Georgia 66-60 on Saturday.

Lamb made 7 of 11 from the field and 3 of 6 from 3-point range. Darius Miller added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (16-4, 4-2 SEC), who moved within a half-game of first-place Florida in the SEC East.

Dustin Ware scored 18 points, Gerald Robinson had 12 and Trey Thompkins added nine points and 11 rebounds for Georgia (14-6, 3-4), which has lost three of four.

Kentucky made six of its first eight shots from the field to take a 14-4 lead 5:08 into the game. Georgia crept within 16-11, but the Wildcats controlled things from there for a 39-24 halftime advantage.

Lamb made four of his five shots from the field to lead Kentucky in the first half with 11 and Miller had 10.
