Glen Rice Jr. scored 21 points and Iman Shumpert added 20 as Georgia Tech pounded Wake Forest, 74-39, on Wednesday.

Jason Morris came off the bench to pull down eight rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (9-8, 2-2 ACC), who won the battle of the boards, 46-33, and held Wake Forest to 26 percent (14 of 54) in the contest.

Rice had 15 points in the first half as Georgia Tech took advantage of nine turnovers by the Demon Deacons to grab a 44-26 edge heading into the locker room.

As well as the Yellow Jackets played in the first half, it was all just a warm-up for what took place after the break. Georgia Tech broke out the defense and held Wake Forest without a field goal for the first 12:28. Another drought of nearly four minutes followed as the Yellow Jackets pushed the lead to 41 points.

After losing to the likes of Stetson, Winthrop, North Carolina-Wilmington and Presbyterian during the pre-conference slate, the Demon Deacons (7-12, 0-4) have not come within 19 points of winning any of their first four ACC matchups.
