Manny Atkins scored a career-high 16 points to lead six players in double figures as Virginia Tech rolled to an easy 94-65 victory over Wake Forest in an Atlantic Coast Conference game Saturday night in Blacksburg, Va.

Virginia Tech (11-5, 2-2 ACC), which was coming off a tough 64-61 loss at North Carolina on Wednesday, a game in which the Hokies led by 16, looked sluggish in the first three minutes, falling behind 7-0. Virginia Tech then used a 20-4 run in the next six minutes to take control and coast to its seventh win in eight games.

Malcolm Delaney, the third leading scorer in the ACC (19.2) was not even one of the six Hokies in double figures, even though he did hand out a season-high nine assists to go with nine points.

Besides Atkins, who came off the bench for his best game of the year, Victor Davilla scored 14 and Terrell Bell and Jarell Eddie 12 each. Jeff Allen and Erick Green both chipped in 10 as the Hokies shot 59 percent from the field, making 34 of 58 and 86 percent from the free-throw line (18 of 21).

Gary Clark led Wake Forest (7-11, 0-3) with 16 points, while C.J. Harris and Travis McKie each tallied 15.
