Indiana snapped a six-game losing streak and picked up its first Big Ten victory in the process, jumping out to a big early lead and topping Michigan, 80-61, on Saturday night in Bloomington, Ind.

The Hoosiers (10-8, 1-4 Big Ten) used a 14-2 run to pull out in front, 26-11, with 4:25 left in the first half. Christian Watford and Verdell Jones III combined for 10 points during the decisive spurt.

Michigan got no closer than 11 points in the second half.

Jones finished with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting for Indiana, which could do little wrong offensively. The Hoosiers shot a blazing 67.4 percent (29 of 43) from the floor and outrebounded the Wolverines, 37-18.

Watford added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana.

Darius Morris paced Michigan (11-7, 1-4) with 22 points and seven assists.
