Carrick Felix and Ty Abbott overwhelmed Tulsa from the opening tip Wednesday, combining for 46 points as Arizona State secured a 69-59 win at home over Tulsa.

Abbott shot 7 for 13 from behind the 3-point line to finish with a season-high 25 points and added nine rebounds and five assists. One of his 3-pointers sparked a 16-4 run midway through the first half that allowed Arizona State (9-7) to take control of the game and a 45-25 halftime lead.

Felix had a season-best performance of his own, finishing with 21 points as the Sun Devils snapped a two-game losing streak.

Tulsa’s Justin Hurtt scored 17 points and Scottie Haralson added 11 points and six rebounds to lead the Golden Hurricanes (8-8), who outrebounded the Sun Devils 41-33.
