Clemson continued its winning streak and picked up its first Atlantic Coast Conference victory of the season with a 79-72 victory over Miami Saturday.

Jerai Grant had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Tigers (12-4, 1-1 ACC) to their seventh straight victory. Clemson has not lost since dropping its conference opener to Florida State Dec. 12.

Demontez Stitt scored 17 points and Milton Jennings added 12 for the Tigers, who have won the last four meetings with the Hurricanes.

Clemson improved to 9-1 at home with the win and really earned the win with its shooting in the second half. The Tigers outscored the Hurricanes 45-39 and shot 59 percent (13 of 22) from the field, including 5 of 7 from the arc.

Miami (11-5, 0-2) had won four straight and nine of 10 before its conference opener at top-ranked Duke Sunday and has now dropped two in a row, both in the ACC.

Durand Scott scored 24 points and Garrius Adams added 14 for the Hurricanes.
