Star guard Jimmer Fredette scored a game-high 22 points to lead No. 14 BYU to its sixth straight win, 77-66, over Air Force Saturday in Provo, Utah.

BYU (16-1, 2-0 MWC) led 37-30 at halftime, then used a 23-12 run in the first 6:51 of the second half to take control at 60-42. Air Force (10-5, 1-1) would not get closer than eight points the rest of the game, and that came with only 2:08 remaining.

Fredette, the nation’s second leading scorer at 25.1 points, scored 13 of his 22 in the second half. He was joined in double figures by Noah Hartsock, who notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Brandon Davies’ 10 points.

Mike Fitzgerald led Air Force with 13 while Michael Lyons added 12.
