Larry Davis led a balanced attack for Cincinnati as the Bearcats took care of DePaul, 76-60, on Tuesday in the Big East Conference opener for both teams.

Davis scored 20 points for Cincinnati (13-0, 1-0 Big East), which is off to its best start since the 2003-04 season when it also started the season with 13 wins under coach Bob Huggins.

Cincinnati, which went on a 34-6 run, had a 41-20 lead at the half and handed DePaul its 24th straight road loss.

Dion Dixon scored 16 points and Yancy Gates added 15 for the Bearcats, who have had mostly laughers to start the season and played only two games decided by single digits.

Cleveland Melvin scored a career-high 24 points for DePaul (6-7, 0-1), which had won three straight and will have a tough time halting its road losing skid in its next game at No. 9 Georgetown on Saturday.
