Kris Joseph scored 25 points and Scoop Jardine added 23, sparking No. 5 Syracuse to a 93-65 home victory over Drexel on Wednesday.

The Orange (13-0) shot 64 percent from the field (36 of 56), including 41 percent from 3-point range (5 of 12).

Down 10-8 seven minutes in, the Orange got going and took the lead for keeps on James Southerland’s 3-pointer with 11:55 left in the first half. That basket launched a 13-4 run for the Orange, who led 35-22 at halftime.

Syracuse blew it open in the second half, using a 16-9 run in the first five minutes to build a 51-31 advantage on Joseph’s dunk with 15:11 left.

Rick Jackson added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Syracuse. Brandon Triche scored 10 points.

Chris Fouch came off the bench to score 14 points to lead Drexel (8-2), which saw its six-game winning streak snapped.

Gerald Colds, Daryl McCoy and Derrick Thomas each scored 12 points for the Dragons.
