The Sooners (6-6) made only 11 field goals in the first half, but six of them were 3-pointers and the long-range shooting helped them open a 30-22 lead at the break. Newell then helped make sure Oklahoma kept its lead, scoring 11 of his points in the second half. Cade Davis scored 15 points for the Sooners, who have won three of their last four following a five-game losing skid.
