Khalid Mutakabbir scored in the closing seconds to lift Presbyterian to a 66-64 victory over Wake Forrest in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday. Mutakabbir made a layup with eight seconds left to give Presbyterian (6-6) a 66-64 lead and Wake Forrest was unable to answer.

Al’Lonzo Coleman scored 20 points and Pierre Miller added 11 for the Blue Hose, who have won three in a row, including two straight over major conference schools. Presbyterian knocked off Auburn, 62-59, on Saturday and also own a victory over Ivy League favorite Princeton this season.

The Blue Hose led 36-26 at the half thanks to Coleman who scored 12 of his points. Gary clark scored 14 points and Travis McKie added 12 for the Demon Deacons (6-6), who have lost two straight and three of their last four games.

Long range shooting was a factor in this one as Presbyterian made 8-of-16 3-pointers while Wake Forrest was just 2-of-10 from the arc.
