Tom Herzog added 11 points for the Knights (10-0), who outscored the Hurricanes 51-35 in the second half.

UCF took a quick lead to begin the game but suffered through an eight-minute field goal drought that allowed Miami (7-3) to take control. The Hurricanes hit 5 of 9 3-pointers in the first half and went into the break with a 43-33 advantage.

The Knights came out strong in the second half, opening with a 12-4 run to close within two and pulling even at 57-57 when Jordan drained a jumper. Isaiah Sykes gave UCF its first lead of the second half with a layup at the 8:01 mark, and the Knights steadily pulled away.

UCF has one more non-conference game on the road, at Massachusetts on Wednesday. Then the Knights host Furman before opening Conference USA play against Marshall on Jan. 5.

The Hurricanes have four more non-conference games before starting ACC play at Duke on Jan. 2.
