Alec Burks and Cory Higgins combined for 37 points as Colorado routed The Citadel 89-61 Friday night for their 18th consecutive non-conference victory at home.

Levi Knutson and Andre Roberson scored 11 points apiece off the bench for the Buffaloes (6-3), who shot 59.6 percent from the field. Roberson, a 6-foot-7 freshman guard who entered the game averaging a team-high 6.6 rebounds, had a game-high nine.

Mike Groselle scored a game-high 22 points for the Bulldogs (3-6).

Burks, who entered the game scoring 20.5 points per game, had 11 of his team-high 19 points in the first half.

Ben Mills, a 7-0 freshman center, had six points on 3-for-3 shooting in the first half as Colorado coach Tad Boyles tries to use his bench more with the Big 12 season coming in three weeks.

Colorado led 41-28 at halftime, and slowly pulled away in the second half.

Cameron Wells added 11 points and five rebounds for The Citadel. Wells entered the game with a team-high 15.8 points per game.
