Keaton Nankivil chipped in 16 points for the Badgers, who went 10-of-17 from beyond the arc.

Leuer had 10 points and Bruesewitz chipped in nine in the first half as Wisconsin settled into the game. Green Bay actually led, 13-12, before the Badgers exploded, ripping off a 20-9 burst with Leuer and Bruesewitz trading baskets in the final three minutes.

The Phoenix (4-7) hung around in the second half but could not make up much ground, coming within seven points with just under one minute left before Jordan Taylor and Leuer each hit two free throws to put it out of reach.

Wisconsin (9-2) has now won five straight and has one more non-conference game - Coppin State on December 23 - before hosting No. 20 Minnesota in its Big Ten opener on December 28. Four of the Badgers’ first five Big Ten games are against ranked opponents.
