Jordan Morgan scored 23 points and Michigan methodically pulled away for an 86-65 victory over Concordia on Monday in a battle of Ann Arbor schools.

The Wolverines led 42-32 at the half but Concordia would not go away and pulled within 59-54 with 11:26 to go on a basket by Ryan Walton.

Michigan (6-2) then went on a 7-0 run, capped by a free throw by Morgan to go back up 66-54 with 9:53 remaining.

Darius Morris scored 19 points, Stu Douglass had 13 and Zack Novak added 12 for Michigan, which has won three straight, including the last two at home. Michigan plays its next four games at home before a trip to Purdue on Dec. 28.

Rocko Holmes scored 27 points for Concordia (5-5), which is an NAIA school located in Ann Arbor.

Holmes was 12-of-18 from the field, but the rest of the team was just 15-of-43 and Chad McMullen was the only other Concordia player in double figures with 11 points.
