Brandon Knight and Darius Miller combined for 36 points as No. 13 Kentucky rolled to a 79-48 win Friday over host Portland at the Rose Garden.

Terrence Jones tallied 12 points and six rebounds and Josh Harrellson added 10 rebounds as Kentucky (2-0) dominated the early-going, holding Portland scoreless for the first 12:09 of the first half and claiming a 15-3 lead.

Doron Lamb had 13 points off the bench for the Wildcats, and Miller added three assists and four rebounds. Kentucky outrebounded the Pilots, 35-23.

Eric Waterford tallied 12 points for the Pilots (3-1), who trailed at halftime, 38-24, after shooting just 28 percent (9-of-32) from the field.

Portland’s Luke Sikma finished with four points and nine rebounds, while guard Jared Stohl scored 11 points but struggled (1-of-6) from beyond the arc. Portland hit just 4-of-19 of its 3-pointers.

Kentucky broke the game open midway through the second half, going on a 10-2 run that expanded its lead to 64-32 with 7:57 remaining.

Portland, picked to finish in the middle of the eight-team West Coast Conference, last played in the Rose Garden in 2000.
