Twin brothers Marcus and Markieff Thomas scored 20 and 13 points, respectively, as Kansas pulled away from North Texas for a 93-60 victory Friday night.

The Mean Green (2-1) stayed within striking range through halftime, trailing at the break by a 36-27 count, but Marcus Morris opened the second half with two straight baskets and the Jayhawks (3-0) never let the lead slip back into single digits. Consecutive three-pointers by Elijah Johnson and Brady Morningstar made it a 54-33 game with 14:52 remaining.

Kansas shot well all night, connecting at a 60-percent clip (30 of 50) from the field. The Jayhawks shot 69 percent (20 of 29) in the second half, including 8 of 10 from three-point range.

Johnson added 11 points off the bench for Kansas, while Tristan Thompson led North Texas with 14 points.
