Trail Blazers 118, Pistons 99: Damian Lillard had 28 points and nine assists as host Portland handed Detroit its ninth straight loss.
LaMarcus Aldridge added 22 points and seven rebounds as the Trail Blazers shot 57.5 percent from the field while beating the Pistons for the 12th time in the last 14 meetings. Arron Afflalo and Meyers Leonard scored 15 points apiece and Chris Kaman added 14 as Portland won for the 11th time in 15 games.
Greg Monroe scored 19 points and Andre Drummond added 16 points and 17 rebounds for Detroit, which has lost 11 of its last 12 road games. Jodie Meeks scored 14 points and Reggie Jackson had 11 points and 10 assists.
Portland used an 11-0 run in the opening quarter to take the lead for good and had a 35-24 advantage after the stanza. The lead grew to 64-46 at the break as the Trail Blazers shot 57.1 percent from the field and received 15 points from Lillard.
Detroit pulled within 12 points late in the third quarter before Portland finished strong and took a 95-78 lead into the fourth. The Pistons again moved within 12 in the final period but Lillard hit consecutive 3-pointers and scored eight points during a 10-0 run to push the lead to 22 points.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Drummond is averaging 21 rebounds over the past three games. … Lillard was 5-of-7 from 3-point range and Portland was 11-of-21 overall. … The Pistons committed just six turnovers.
