Pacers 89, Hawks 85: David West had 22 points and 10 rebounds as Indiana snapped a 12-game regular-season losing streak in Atlanta.

Paul George added 18 points as the Pacers won on the Hawks’ floor for the first time since Dec. 22, 2006. Indiana saw its 16-point final-quarter lead trimmed to two before Danny Granger hit two free throws with 3.9 seconds left to seal it.

Mike Scott scored 15 points and Elton Brand had 12 for Atlanta, which lost for just the third time in eight games. Paul Millsap had 12 rebounds and four steals but scored just seven points on 2-of-11 shooting.

Indiana held a 73-57 lead with just over eight minutes left before the Hawks responded with a 17-5 surge to pull within 78-74 with 2:24 remaining. West answered with a jumper and George followed with a steal and dunk as the Pacers pushed the lead to eight before the Hawks made another run and cut their deficit to 86-84 on Cartier Martin’s 3-pointer with 14.9 seconds left.

Atlanta led 43-42 at the break but scored just 12 third-quarter points on 6-of-20 shooting. The Pacers received nine points from West and eight from George during the period to take a 66-55 lead into the fourth quarter and used a 7-0 burst early in the frame to open up the 16-point cushion.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Atlanta G Kyle Korver was 1-of-5 from 3-point range to extend his streak of making at least one to 116 games. … G Lance Stephenson (six) and George (five) combined for 11 of Indiana’s 19 turnovers and the Hawks were also careless with 18 miscues. Stephenson left in the third quarter after falling hard on his lower back and did not return. … Scott has scored in double digits in a career-best 12 straight games.
