NEW ORLEANS -- When it comes to overtime, the Memphis Grizzlies have been daring opponents to bring it on all season, because they love it.

Center Marc Gasol hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime and then nailed a 17-foot fadeaway jumper over the outstretched arms of Anthony Davis to lift the Grizzlies to a 110-108 double-overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night at the Smoothie King Center.

Gasol logged 46 minutes and recorded a triple-double -- 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists -- and guard Troy Daniels came off the bench for 29 points, the first reserve in Grizzlies' history to score at least 29 points in consecutive games.

It was the Grizzlies' fourth overtime win of the season without a loss. They are 10-0 in games this season decided either in overtime or by five or fewer points.

"People keep talking about it, but most of our games are close," Gasol said. "I can't remember a blowout. We feel comfortable in those situations because we trust our defense and we don't panic."

Gasol grabbed a critical rebound with 3.8 seconds left after Davis drove through the middle of the lane and missed a scoop shot.

After the officials called a jump ball, Davis beat Gasol for the tip, but Langston Galloway's attempt at a game-winning 3-pointer from the right corner missed.

"It felt good," said Galloway, who had 26 points off the bench. "(Guard) Tim (Frazier) and Coach (Alvin Gentry) set up a good play. Tim found me in the corner, and Terrence (Jones) set up a great screen. I was confident that it was going in -- just a little right."

Gasol tied the score 94-94 with 7.6 seconds left in regulation with a 3-pointer from the left key over Jones.

"They did a good job of being close to me on the first action, but I was able to go to my right and create enough space to get a shot off," Gasol said.

The Pelicans set up an inbounds play, but Solomon Hill's lob pass for Davis hit the front of the rim and Davis never had a chance to tip it in.

The Pelicans scored the first four points of the first overtime -- Davis hit a 15-foot jumper -- to take a 98-96 lead, but both teams looked gassed.

Davis, who played a game-high 48:29 and scored 28 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, hit a short jumper from the left baseline to put New Orleans up 100-96 with 1:26 left. But Tony Allen hit one of two free throws and Daniels came up with a loose ball and nailed a 3-pointer with 14.8 seconds left to tie it at 100, forcing the second overtime.

"We're just trying to find any way to win," said Daniels, a second-year shooting guard from Virginia Commonwealth who nailed 7 of 11 from behind the arc. "We're just trying to scratch and crawl and win. I mean, the hoop's like an ocean. As a shooter, that's what you want to see. I'm getting my rhythm and slowing down a bit. I've been working all summer just for this moment."

Davis naturally seemed tired. He had played 43 minutes in a road loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday night, and the 48-plus minutes Monday night took a toll down the stretch. He was 3 of 8 in the two overtimes, including 0 of 2 from long range.

"He was tired, but as a tired player, he's better than anybody else out there."

"They were all gassed," said Memphis coach David Fizdale. "They're in the same situation as us in regards to injuries. Davis is just an MVP. Let's be honest about it. The kid's an MVP amongst a few MVPs in this league. We were lucky to come out of this with a win."

NOTES: Grizzlies F Zach Randolph missed his seventh consecutive game after the unexpected death of his mother. He could return this week during Memphis' three-game homestand. ... The Pelicans' starting backcourt of Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore missed the game with toe injuries, leaving the team with nine players in uniform. Holiday's injury was described as a turf toe. Coach Alvin Gentry said he did not think it was "anything serious" but was "one of those nagging things." ... Gentry is trying not to overreact to another spate of injuries. "Over the past year and a half, this is just the way it's been, and you really can't do anything except plug in who is there and tell them to step up their game and play better," Gentry said. ... The Grizzlies signed combo guard Toney Douglas to add badly needed depth with the lower back injury to starting PG Mike Conley.
