Spurs 94. Mavericks 76: Boris Diaw scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting off the bench as San Antonio beat Dallas at home for the ninth consecutive time.

Danny Green added 14 points while Tiago Splitter had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Spurs, who moved 1 1/2 games ahead of the Mavericks in the race for sixth place in the Western Conference. Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker tallied 12 points apiece for San Antonio, which has won 10 of its last 11 home games.

Tyson Chandler recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds for Dallas, which couldn't survive 37.8 percent shooting. Monta Ellis scored 10 points before leaving the game with a right calf injury midway through the third quarter and Chandler Parsons had nine for the Mavericks, who went just 4-of-18 from 3-point range.

Patty Mills and Green connected from beyond the arc on consecutive trips to put the Spurs on top 64-56 and they opened up the fourth quarter with a 12-2 surge to pull away 81-63. Matt Bonner knocked down a jumper to restore San Antonio's 21-point advantage at 91-70 as the Spurs continued their recent dominance of the Mavericks at the AT&T Center

Diaw scored five straight points during a 9-0 run to end the first quarter to put San Antonio on top 28-18 and he and Green buried back-to-back 3-pointers as the Spurs pulled ahead 41-23. San Antonio led by as many as 21 before Ellis sparked a 10-2 run to finish the second quarter to pull the Mavericks within 54-41 and they cut the deficit to four midway through the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Spurs haven't lost to the Mavericks in San Antonio since Nov. 26, 2010. … The Spurs handed out 28 assists on 37 made field goals. … Dallas All-Star PF Dirk Nowitzki was limited to seven points on 3-of-9 shooting.
