Bulls 116, Raptors 103: Jimmy Butler scored 23 points and Pau Gasol added 18 as visiting Chicago took control in the fourth quarter to beat Toronto for the fifth consecutive time.

Tony Snell tallied 17 points off the bench for the Bulls, who shot 60.8 percent from the floor to open up a 1 1/2 game lead over the Raptors for the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Aaron Brooks chipped in 16 points and Nikola Mirotic had 15 for Chicago.

Greivis Vasquez matched a career-high with six 3-pointers en route to 22 points for Toronto, which was outscored 39-21 in the fourth quarter. DeMar DeRozan produced 20 points and five assists while Lou Williams had 18 points in a reserve role for the Raptors, who clinched a playoff spot with Boston's loss.

Williams converted a clutch three-point play to put the Raptors on top 95-91 before Brooks scored down low and connected from beyond the arc as part of a 13-2 surge to give the Bulls a 104-97 lead. Mirotic drained a clutch 3-pointer to push the lead to eight with 2:29 remaining as Chicago continued its recent dominance over Toronto.

Vasquez and Terrence Ross combined to hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter to put the Raptors ahead 29-20 and they scored 14 points apiece as Toronto settled for a 54-50 lead at intermission. Ross finished at the rim to put the Raptors in front 71-60 before Butler scored five straight points during an 11-2 run to trim the deficit to two with 3:33 left in the third quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bulls went 12-of-23 from 3-point range while the Raptors finished 9-of-21. … Butler and Snell shot a combined 14-of-17 from the field. … DeRozan went 6-of-6 from the free-throw line and is 44-of-46 in his last five games. ... Toronto G Kyle Lowry missed the game with back spasms.
