Grizzlies 92, Nuggets 81: Zach Randolph racked up 21 points and 16 rebounds to help host Memphis hold off shorthanded Denver.

Tony Allen collected 14 points and nine rebounds and Marc Gasol added 14 points, eight boards and three blocks for the Grizzlies. Nick Calathes added 12 points off the bench.

Jameer Nelson scored a season-high 24 points to lead the Nuggets, who rested starters Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried and Danilo Gallinari. Randy Foye scored 16 points and Wilson Chandler added 13 for Denver, which had a four-game winning streak halted.

Gasol made a pair of free throws to make it 79-69 with 6:33 to play, but Nelson and Gary Harris hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Nelson capped a 10-0 run with a jumper to tie it at 79 with 4:54 left. The Nuggets didn't score again for nearly 3 1/2 minutes as the Grizzlies reeled off seven straight points and didn't allow the lead to dip below five points the rest of the way.

The Grizzlies ran out to an eight-point lead less than four minutes into the game and led by 11 before settling for a 47-37 halftime advantage. Nelson's layup gave Denver its first lead of the game at 48-47 with 7:41 left in the third quarter, but it didn't last long as Randolph answered with a three-point play

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis PG Mike Conley (ankle) missed his third consecutive game and PF Jon Leuer (back) sat out for the sixth time in the last seven contests. … Memphis has won five straight home games against Denver. … Gasol was just 4-of-13 from the field but went 6-of-8 from the free-throw line, making six straight foul shots in the fourth quarter to help seal it.
