Bucks 93, 76ers 81: O.J. Mayo knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 25 points as host Milwaukee bounced back from a tough opener.

Larry Sanders had eight points and 15 rebounds (seven offensive) and Brandon Knight added 13 points and eight assists for the Bucks (1-1), who bounced back after squandering a 24-point, third-quarter lead to Charlotte in the first game of the Jason Kidd era on Wednesday. Jabari Parker had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee, which had lost 18 of 20 dating to last season.

Rookie Nerlens Noel had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia (0-2), which played without reigning Rookie of the Year Michael-Carter Williams for the second straight game. Hollis Thompson had 15 points and Tony Wroten 14 as the Sixers dropped their fourth consecutive road game against the Bucks - their longest skid in the series since losing four straight spanning the 1984-86 seasons.

Mayo sparked a 12-1 run with six points that bridged the third and fourth quarters for an 80-74 edge. He drained another 3-pointer from the right wing for an 88-81 lead and Knight followed with a nifty no-look pass that Sanders flushed home with 4:28 left in the game.

Noel had a team-high 10 points and four boards and Parker countered with nine and five as Philadelphia took a 47-46 lead into the break. In a close third quarter the Sixers took a 73-68 lead with 1:39 left on a 3-pointer by rookie K.J. McDaniels and a reverse layup by Alexey Shved.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bucks are 14-3 on Halloween, including 7-0 at home. … Milwaukee won two of three last season and has taken seven of the last eight at home during a series that the Bucks lead 97-96-all-time. … Noted impersonator Frank Caliendo performed at halftime.
