Nets 104, Mavericks 94: Deron Williams scored 12 of his 25 points in the third quarter as Brooklyn ended a long road trip with a win in Dallas.

Thaddeus Young had 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench and Joe Johnson tallied 15 points for the Nets, who finished 3-5 on an eight-game stretch away from home. Mason Plumlee collected 14 points and 10 rebounds and Jarrett Jack chipped in 14 points off the bench for Brooklyn.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points to lead the Mavericks, who have lost four straight home games against the Nets. Devin Harris added 14 points while both Monta Ellis and Al-Farouq Aminu contributed 12.

J.J. Barea scored twice and Nowitzki added a bucket to provide Dallas with a 39-31 lead midway through the second quarter en route to a 51-47 halftime advantage. Alan Anderson opened the third quarter with a 3-pointer to spark Brooklyn's 10-2 burst and the visitors built up a 13-point lead late in the period before Harris beat the buzzer from half court to make it 82-72.

Nowitzki and Harris were good from long range to pull Dallas within 86-80, but the Nets answered with a 6-0 run capped by Johnson's 3-pointer to push their advantage to 12 with seven minutes left. The Mavericks made one last push to within 97-92 on Nowitzki's three-point play with 2:37 to go before Young and Jack answered with jumpers and Brooklyn cruised to the finish line.
