Grizzlies 101, Timberwolves 97: Marc Gasol scored 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting and collected 11 rebounds as visiting Memphis defeated Minnesota.

Mike Conley scored 17 points, including the tiebreaking 3-pointer with 30.3 seconds left, and the Grizzlies shot 59.4 percent from the field to halt a two-game losing streak. Jeff Green added 13 points and Zach Randolph grabbed 11 rebounds for Memphis.

Andrew Wiggins scored 25 points and Gary Neal added 16 for the Timberwolves, who lost for the fifth time in seven games. Ricky Rubio contributed 13 points, 10 assists and four steals, Gorgui Dieng had 13 points and nine rebounds and Kevin Martin made three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter while scoring 13 points.

The Timberwolves moved ahead by four early in the fourth quarter as Rubio and Neal knocked down 3-pointers before Memphis received five straight points from Randolph to take an 86-84 edge with 5:18 remaining. Martin drained a 3-pointer with 1:50 left to put Minnesota within one and sank another to tie the score at 95 with 43.6 seconds to go before Conley knocked down the decisive 3-pointer and added two free throws as the Grizzlies survived.

Memphis shot 58.3 percent from the field in the first half but only held a 48-46 lead. The Grizzlies dominated the first six-plus minutes of the third quarter and led 67-52 after Green’s 3-pointer with 5:43 remaining before the Timberwolves answered with a 10-0 surge and trailed 72-70 entering the final stanza.
