Warriors 114, Wizards 107: Stephen Curry returned from a one-game absence and collected 32 points and eight assists as visiting Golden State topped Washington.

Curry, who sat out a loss at Indiana on Sunday with a foot injury, went 11-of-18 from the field and buried five 3-pointers as the Warriors pulled to 1-1 on their season-long six-game road trip. Klay Thompson added 17 points and matched a career high with five steals while Marreese Speights scored 16 to lead the reserves.

Paul Pierce scored 25 points and Marcin Gortat recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Wizards suffered their fourth straight loss. John Wall contributed 16 points and 11 assists but committed eight of Washington’s 26 turnovers.

Rasual Butler’s 3-pointer tied it at 90 with 8:32 left but the Warriors scored the next six points to jump back in front. Curry found Harrison Barnes for a dunk to extend the advantage to 107-99 with just under three minutes to play and drained three free throws with 1:01 remaining to restore the eight-point cushion and help put the game away.

The Wizards scored the game’s first nine points and shot 53.7 percent in the first half but turned the ball over 18 times and fell behind by as much as nine points before going into the break down 54-51. Washington grabbed an 81-79 lead with 1:36 left in the third before Curry scored seven straight points to help Golden State to a three-point advantage headed into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards are allowing an average of 115.7 points in their last three games. … Curry recorded his NBA-high 45th game with at least 15 points and five assists and nailed a 3-pointer in his 62nd consecutive road game – the longest active streak in the league. … Pierce is 14-of-14 from the free-throw line since the All-Star break.
