Warriors 94, Timberwolves 91: Stephen Curry scored 25 points and Klay Thompson hit a go-ahead 3-pointer as visiting Golden State held on in its sixth game in nine nights.

Thompson scored 14 points and Curry finished with eight assists and three steals for the Western Conference-leading Warriors, who completed a four-game road trip 3-1 and have won seven of eight overall. Leandro Barbosa led a strong bench effort with 10 points and Draymond Green added 13 rebounds for Golden State.

Kevin Martin scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half for the Timberwolves, who lost to the Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Ricky Rubio had 18 points and nine rebounds while Nikola Pekovic added 17 points and 13 boards in Minnesota's second of three straight home games during a stretch of eight of 10 at home.

Thompson drained a 3-pointer with 82 seconds remaining to give Golden State a 92-89 edge after Rubio scored seven points during an 18-4 run that pulled Minnesota even with 1:34 left. Minnesota had one last chance to tie with 1.4 seconds left, but a 3-pointer by Chase Budinger didn't leave his hand until after the buzzer as the Warriors closed out a seventh straight win in Minnesota.

Curry had 11 points and five assists in the first quarter and Golden State led 56-46 at the half before Curry scored on a 3-pointer and layup during a 9-0 burst in the third that extended the lead to 12. The Timberwolves scored the final six points of the period, but Marreese Speights and Barbosa scored four each during a 12-2 run that provided Golden State an 85-71 edge with 7:41 left in the contest.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Curry was 2-of-10 from the arc and is just 5-of-22 in his last two games. … Golden State improved to 9-0 on Wednesdays, matching its record on Saturdays. … The Warriors' bench scored 34 points on 17-of-30 shooting while the Timberwolves' bench scored 14 points on 1-of-17 shooting.
