Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points and connected on a 3-pointer to force overtime as host Dallas rallied to hand Portland its seventh consecutive road loss.

Monta Ellis scored 20 points for the Mavericks, who trailed by 11 points with under two minutes left in regulation before winning for the fifth time in six games. Chandler Parsons scored 10 of his 20 points in the extra session, Devin Harris had 16 points and seven rebounds and Tyson Chandler had 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Damian Lillard had 26 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals and LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who committed 11 of their season-worst 23 turnovers in the fourth quarter and overtime. Wesley Matthews contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals and Robin Lopez added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Dallas climaxed a frantic rally when Nowitzki drained a tying 3-point shot with 20.5 seconds remaining in regulation and rode the momentum by scoring the first nine points of overtime. Parsons hit two free throws to start the extra session, Nowitzki hit a jumper and Ellis drained a 3-pointer for a seven-point cushion before Parsons scored another basket as the Mavericks dominated the overtime.

Portland held a 55-50 halftime lead and Aldridge scored five points during a 10-0 burst in the third as the Trail Blazers opened up a 16-point advantage before taking an 83-70 edge into the fourth quarter. The Mavericks again fell behind by 16 in the final quarter and trailed by 11 with under two minutes remaining when Harris and Parsons hit back-to-back 3-pointers to start the quarter-ending 13-2 run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland SF Nicolas Batum was 0-of-8 from the field and scored two points while grabbing 10 rebounds. … The Mavericks were 14-of-36 from 3-point range with Harris making four. … Lillard was 4-of-10 from 3-point range after being 2-of-30 over the previous four games.
