Hawks 124, Warriors 116: Jeff Teague led seven players in double figures with 23 points and seven assists as host Atlanta held off Golden State in a battle of conference leaders.

Paul Millsap scored 21 points, and Kyle Korver and Mike Scott added 17 apiece while combining to go 8-of-12 from 3-point range as the Hawks won their 12th straight home game. Al Horford had 12 points and 14 rebounds while DeMarre Carroll also scored 12 for Atlanta.

Klay Thompson had 29 points and Stephen Curry added 26 points and nine assists as the Warriors fell in the opener of a stretch of 10 of 11 on the road. Draymond Green collected 12 points, a career-high 20 rebounds and six assists for Golden State, which attempted 22 fewer free throws than the Hawks.

Dennis Schroder scored the first five points of a 7-0 burst that put Atlanta in front 100-90 with 8:32 left before the Warriors pulled within three midway through the period. Scott and Korver each hit a 3-pointer in an 8-2 surge that made it 114-103 with 3:15 to play, and Teague and Millsap combined to go 8-of-8 from the line in the final 1:15 to put the game away.

Harrison Barnes scored on the opening possession of the third quarter to give Golden State a 54-52 lead before Korver and Teague each nailed a 3-pointer in a 12-1 surge that put the Hawks up by nine. Curry’s 3-pointer knotted it at 77 but Scott hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the final minute to help send Atlanta into the fourth ahead 89-85.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The matchup marked the fourth time in 30 years that teams with winning percentages of .800 or better met through 40-plus games of the regular season. … Atlanta went 15-of-27 from beyond the arc - the most made 3-pointers allowed by Golden State this season. … The Warriors dropped to 14-2 against Eastern Conference teams.
