Nets 92, Knicks 88:
Brook Lopez had 22 points, nine rebounds and six blocks as host Brooklyn beat New York for a third straight time this season.

Jarrett Jack scored 20 points, including a big 3-pointer and two free throws down the stretch, and added eight assists for the Nets, who have won three straight and now embark on a season-high eight-game road trip sandwiched around the All-Star break. Joe Johnson scored nine of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and Kevin Garnett added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points on 6-of-23 shooting for the Knicks, who have lost two straight after winning five of seven. Jose Calderon added 15 points and seven assists and Lance Thomas chipped in 14 points for New York, which shot 38.2 percent from the field.

The Nets held the Knicks scoreless for a five-minute stretch and Bojan Bogdanovic scored two of the Nets' four hoops over that stretch to take a six-point edge with 4:52 left. New York got within one on two free throws by Anthony, but Johnson fed a wide-open Jack for an uncontested 3-pointer with 13 seconds left, and Jack converted two free throws five seconds later to ice it.

Consecutive hoops by Lopez provided the Nets a 21-8 lead nearly seven minutes into the contest and opened the second quarter on an 11-2 run to build a 17-point bulge before Anthony scored eight points in the final 3:43 to get the Knicks within 53-45 at the half. After Brooklyn scored the first two hoops of the third quarter, the Knicks got three 3-pointers by Calderon and closed out the third quarter on a 25-11 run to take a 70-68 edge into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nets shot 56.8 percent in the first half, owned a 25-14 edge on the boards but committed nine turnovers that led to 14 Knicks points to help New York stay within eight at the break. … Brooklyn is 4-4 during a stretch in which 13 of 16 games are on the road. … The Knicks finished with six turnovers.
